the reality or shafts of satire?

lets call it -how germany is suppost to be -and -….-flagge

Yes ALL Germans are in love with hot beer, especially when it is flavored with banana-, cherryjuice  or cola.

We all eat sauerkraut and we LOVE the music of David Hasselhoff!!!

I have been looking for Freedom…

It is your choice!

Why should you walk when you have the possibilty to drive?
What’s that means what did you say.
How are you- means not nessesarily that i want to know…:-)
Smile if you get to a crossing- it might be your picture!
I will join the great books club!
Coffee and Books at a book store.
Every second person is either German or Irish (at least around Chicago.)
Making friends? Easier to stay alone!
We are the country of the freedom- here is your classroom policy!
It is really nice to see you!
That sounds like a funny story- that is my life here!
You thought this dosesn’t exist…it does!
If you aint’ got no change get out of my bus!
You want to volunteer,- get into the queue.
I love demolition derbys….Can we have that in Germany?
You can find the right street-there is a system behind it!
Good luck by driving downtown.
Living in a family is joy and happyness!
I don’t like Mondays.
Dunkin Donuts has the best coffee!
We got a Starbucks on Campus.
Yes i am one of 11000 students.
Where to find a job?
Who knows white castle?
Speak slower this is my second language.

…..to be continued….

Dixon-Cory and Becky- the heart on the right side-

Since I wrote the last few words it happened so much that I even don’t know where to start.
New York feels already since Years ago.-
We arrived in Sterling- two hours from Chicago. From there I was picked up from Cory- with a 66 Cadillac de Ville.- Who would believe that 😉
We stayed three days in Dixon but I am sure I will never forget this three days. Cory and Becky took me to the Demolition Derby, I had my first corndog and so much fun!
Cory took me to the Mississippi River, we crossed to boarder to Iowa and went on an Inland, I saw Savanna and the Chinese Garden. I had my first ride on a real Harley Davidson.
There is no way to thank Cory and Becky enough for what they should me!
I hope I can visit them during my stage and I am a little sad to leave…

IMG_7711IMG_7762Nmeew York  – Arrival: Tuesday 12.45 o clock

Seams that now everything started. It didn’t feel like US  the first days.
Baiba would say it is just another city- but also just on the first look.
New York, – the people are mainly answering: it is amazing, huge, crowded and all this is the truth.
It is unbelievable- the skyline, the harbor, the statue of liberty, the view from the Rockefeller and the empire is  just not to describe- you need to see it.
Our days started daily at 7 with American breakfast- bagels and coffee. Then we went to the German house- and everybody was dressed. We looked quite important. J
As soon as the training finished- with how to buy a car, or how to apply for a interview, what do I need to know about the insurance and other important things- we run to see something in NY.
And we saw a lot- we went to China town, walked in the financial district, passed the statue of liberty by boat,- made pictures in front of the trump world tower and had a bottle of Arizona ice tea- which is definitely the best drink in the US.-We went by a New Yorker Cap and walked through the  Park.
To soon the departure time arrived- Departure: Friday 03.45 o clock.
Right now we are in the train to Chicago. At the moment we are quite a lot- but shortly we will separate in smaller groups.  As soon as we arrive Chicago my group ( 7 people) will make our way to the Clock in the Main station, to meet there a bus driver. He is holding my name to identify us and once we met him he is going to bring us to Sterling- where we will met hour host families for the next couple of days-
Tuesday I will make my way back to Chicago to meet my Host- Family. Melissa, John, Steven and Ava!

The last two days and the adventure starts…

I can’t belive there are finally just two days to go. The last couple of month, weeks and days were passing so fast without me- recognising that I will leave so soon.

The problems in the last “seconds” kept me active all the time (like a broken hard disk). At the end of the days i crawl into my bed, tired and sleeping exactly in the moment i lay down. In my mind i still now million things to do- like reading the college homepage etc…but i will spend the last days with friends and family…

The next Tag will be from my new home- the United States of America….

Abschied….
